During our family stay at Hostal Alcazaba, in Puerto Lopez, the warmth of the host family truly made our trip unforgettable. As an Argentine anthropologist with a love for diverse cultures, I appreciated the authentic and welcoming atmosphere the hostel provided. The spacious and clean rooms were ideal for our family, and the daily breakfast overlooking the city and ocean was a perfect start to our days.Our host, Maria, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. When my son showed interest in diving, she personally arranged a safe and exciting diving experience for him—a highlight of his trip! the hostel's proximity to the beach enabled us to enjoy whale watching, an activity that amazed us all. The family-friendly environment extended to every aspect of our stay. From the comfortable accommodations to the helpful recommendations for local activities, Hostal Alcazaba ensured a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all of us. I wholeheartedly recommend this welcoming hostel to families seeking a cultural and inclusive retreat in Ecuador.
